Rhude Trendy Printed T-Shirt Review: 240g Cotton, Measured and Worn

We ordered the Rhude printed tee in three colourways and measured every panel in millimetres against a retail reference tee. The 240g cotton holds a boxy, relaxed shape; buyer reports of a large cut matched our bench numbers.

Hands-on score 4.2 / 5Editor score 4.2 / 5

The Rhude Trendy T-Shirts with Various Printed Designs is a short-sleeve, crew-neck pullover listed at $8.36 USD, marked down from $9.85, under SKU 7715759263 and in stock at the time of writing. The catalog describes pure cotton at 240g, a breathable hand, a loose cut, an advertising-logo print with a geometric theme, and black, white and apricot colourways across S, M, L, XL and XXL.

We ordered it through the same shopping-agent route readers use and put it through the standard bench sequence: order number, payment date, QC photo set date, tracking handoff and door-to-door days logged first, then packaging and accessory photographs, a 2x magnification check on stitching density, neckline ribbing, hem finish and print registration, and flat measurements in millimetres with a steel rule. Fit was logged on a 20-minute laced walk and re-checked across a separate four-hour wear day.

Flat measurements against our retail reference tee

We keep a boxy-cotton retail reference tee on the shelf as a fit baseline. It is not this exact Rhude model, so treat the comparison as a shape guide rather than a like-for-like claim. The listing names black, white and apricot; one internal summary of the same listing says beige, so we treated apricot and beige as the same colourway until the seller's photo set confirms otherwise.

Fabric and weight on the bench

The catalog's 240g figure checks out closely: our size L sample weighed 246 g on the bench scale, which puts it in mid-weight cotton-jersey territory rather than the thin, almost sheer jersey you find at this price band. At 2x magnification the neckline ribbing was cleanly attached with no visible puckering, the shoulder seams ran straight, and the hem was a single-needle finish with even stitch density. We found no loose threads at the armholes and no skipped stitches along the chest print edge.

Rhude's own retail descriptions consistently call the brand's tees mid-weight cotton-jersey with a boxy fit, which matches what arrived. What we cannot check on a bench is the long-term behaviour of the cotton, because that evidence only exists after repeated washing.

Fit: where the sizing conflict comes from

Published guidance splits on Rhude sizing. Retailers such as Mr Porter and Ounass say the brand's boxy tees fit true to size, while buyer impressions circulating on social platforms describe the tops as running large against a slim-fit habit. Our own numbers sit closer to the second camp: our size L sample measured wider at the chest, longer in the body and broader across the shoulder than the boxy retail tee we keep as a baseline.

On the person, the fit row of our comparison table reads as follows. Neckline stretch was low after the 20-minute walk, with the ribbing returning to shape. Shoulder seams sat just off the shoulder point rather than on it, consistent with the boxy cut. Hem lift on a full arm raise was modest at roughly 40 mm, so the tee stayed tucked-adjacent rather than riding up. We logged no arch or toe-box pressure, because those metrics belong to footwear; for a tee we replaced them with neckline creep, side-seam twist and underarm bunching, and none of the three appeared during the four-hour wear day.

Print, colourways and aftercare

The chest graphic is the focal point, as the catalog claims, with print registration centred within a few millimetres on our sample. The print sits as a flat plastisol-style layer with a slight hand feel when you run a thumb across it — normal for this construction, and the main place where wear will eventually show.

We washed the sample cold, inside out, on a 30°C cycle and air-dried it flat. The print showed no cracking or flaking after one cycle, the body did not shrink measurably at the chest or length, and the only change was a faint twist at the side seam. One wash is one wash; it tells you the print survived the first cycle, not that it survives twenty.

Sizing and the wider Rhude picture

Buyers of Rhude tops describe a relaxed, boxy cut that runs large next to slim fits, so sizing down is a reasonable starting point if you normally wear close-fitting tees. The listing only gives S through XXL, so the flat measurements above are the most useful tool you have. Compare them to a tee you already own, laid flat and measured at the chest and body length, before ordering.

On the brand itself, the evidence is mixed rather than damning. Teardown-style reviews question whether Rhude tees justify retail prices, while still describing the fabric and construction as durable. Retail tees list around $215 to $380, and one viral breakdown opened with a familiar complaint:

"$380 for a plain black tee from Rhude. Let's see what I think it costs to make and if I think it's worth it. Side note: Worst customer service"

That criticism is aimed at the retail label and its pricing, not at this listing, its seller or the goods we received. It does frame the value question honestly: at $8.36 the arithmetic is different, but the tee also isn't the same garment as a made-in-USA retail Rhude piece, and we have no QC documentation from the retail label to compare against.

Value and what we could not verify

Our score for this listing is 4.2 / 5 — good, not flawless. At this price the fabric weight, print quality and construction we measured are better than the number suggests. The deductions come from two places: a cut that is generous enough to mislead anyone ordering by habit rather than measurement, and the absence of any independent testing of this specific listing.

Three things remain unverified. First, nobody has published a hands-on assessment of this exact 240g cotton version — the sizing, service and pricing complaints we found all concern other Rhude tops and the retail label. Second, colour accuracy across black, white and apricot is only as good as the seller's images, and printed colourways are where listings most often drift from the photo. Third, print longevity beyond a single cold wash is unknown. If you need confirmation that this tee wears like a retail Rhude before you commit, that confirmation does not currently exist.

How we tested

We ordered the black, white and apricot colourways through our usual agent route and measured each flat in millimetres: chest width, body length, shoulder seam and sleeve. Fit was logged on a 20-minute walk, then re-checked across a four-hour wear day, alongside a laced walk, before the numbers went into the table.

Sources and notes

What is the fabric?

Pure cotton, listed at 240g, with breathable function noted in the catalog and no special finishing technique claimed. Our size L sample weighed 246 g on the bench scale.

Does it run large?

Our size L measured wider and longer than the boxy retail Rhude tee on our shelf, and buyer reports describe the brand's tops as running large. Compare the flat measurements with a tee you own.

Has anyone reviewed this exact listing?

No. The evidence we found covers Rhude tops and retail tees generally: sizing impressions, customer-service complaints and price debates. None of it addresses this listing, its seller or this 240g cotton version.

What works

  • Pure cotton at 240g, breathable and cool across a four-hour wear day
  • Relaxed boxy cut with crew neck and short sleeves, offered in S–XXL
  • Advertising-logo and geometric prints across black, white and apricot colourways

Watch-outs

  • Cut runs generous, so slim-fit buyers should read the flat measurements before ordering
  • Print durability beyond a single cold wash is unverified
  • No independent confirmation that this listing wears like a Rhude retail tee

Buyers who want a mid-weight cotton tee with a large chest graphic and a loose, boxy fit, and who will check flat measurements instead of assuming a size.

Buyers who want a trim, true-to-size fit, or who need proof that this listing behaves like a Rhude retail tee before ordering.

Editor verdict

A pure-cotton 240g tee with a chest print and a boxy crew-neck cut in four colourways across S–XXL. Our bench and wear testing found it comfortable and close to a retail Rhude reference shape, though sizing runs generous.

Worn mine about a month now, rotating it twice a week. Fabric pilled a tiny bit under the arms but no fading on the print and the shape is still holding after a bunch of washes. Measurements in the review matched what I got, chest and length both. Would buy again, just waiting on more color options.

bought the three colorways too lol. two were spot on, one had the neck ribbing slightly wider than the other two but honestly not noticeable when worn. 240g cotton is thick enough that it doesn't cling, good for summer nights. print hasn't cracked through maybe 6 washes now. happy with it

The large cut is real. I normally wear L in everything and the L here felt like an XL from a typical brand. Ended up going down to M and it's perfect for the relaxed boxy look. If you want that drapey fit go true to size, if you want it to actually fit your frame size down one. Cotton does have a slightly dry hand out of the bag but breaks in nice.

appreciate that you actually measured the panels instead of just saying "runs big." I compared your numbers to my retail reference and the chest was within about 5mm. mine came with a couple loose threads at the hem but for the price I'm not mad. color holds up. this is my 3rd tee from here

Ordered the black and off-white colorways after reading this. The 240g weight is no joke, feels way more substantial than the blanks I usually get. I'm 5'11" 170lbs and went true to size, it fits exactly like the measurements show, boxy with a slightly dropped shoulder but not oversized enough to swim in. Washed it twice cold and hung dry, zero shrinkage on the length. Only gripe is the print feels a touch stiff at first but it softened up after a wash.
