Editorial policy

Editorial policy

This editorial standard applies to casual sneaker batches, shopping-agent QC photos, sizing and fit notes. Pages identify editorial responsibility, content type, source dates, review responsibilities, conflicts and commercial relationships. A test label requires records of the steps actually performed.

Purchase and testing boundary: a scored test requires a traceable order, QC record, delivery record, bench check, wear or equivalent measurement record, limited to casual sneakers and applicable batches. If the protocol cannot be completed, the desk should not publish a scored review; it may publish a clearly labelled desk summary, sizing round-up, or comparison table.

Scoring: use a five-point scale where 5 is the maximum. Recorded scores may range from 1 to 5. A separate recommendation threshold may mark 4.0 to 5.0 as recommended only when criteria are met. Failed samples, low scores, and retest records should not be silently deleted; they should remain in the log and be summarised where appropriate.

Sourcing and attribution: label the agent, batch or factory version, and SKU only when confirmable. Do not use unauthorised photographs or present another outlet's images as this site's images.

Funding and independence: affiliate commission, advertising, or other funding, if actually in place, must be disclosed under real terms; rates must not decide what is tested or scored.

Contact and corrections: editorial questions, corrections, and coverage requests go to editorial@kakobuysneakers.net and are subject to the corrections policy.
