Rhude Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: We Measured the Shoulders, Then Wore One for Four Hours

Combed cotton, a boxy body and mid-length sleeves across more than 40 colourway codes. We measured our size M sample against Rhude's own chart, then wore it for four hours before scoring the fit.

What we ordered, and how it reached the bench

We ordered the Rhude multicolor T-shirt collection through the same shopping-agent route readers use, in size M, in a black body with a lettering print. The listing is SKU 7718845670, priced at $8.36 against an original $9.20, and it shows as in stock. The parcel arrived with the outer packaging and inner wrap photographed before anything was opened, and we logged the order number, QC photo set date, tracking handoff and door-to-door days as we do for every featured item.

The bench inspection ran at 2x magnification over the print edges, neck ribbing, hem stitching, sleeve hems and neck-label placement. Nothing on our sample showed cracking at the print border, a twisted collar seam or a skipped stitch line at the hem, which is the first thing we check on printed cotton at this price.

Flat measurements, set against Rhude's own chart

The listing describes a loose streetwear fit with a stated 1–3 cm measurement tolerance. Before the wear tests, Dorian recorded chest, shoulder, body length and hem opening flat, then placed those numbers beside Rhude's published tee chart — the reference we keep for fit baselines. Our size M sample sat inside the listing's stated tolerance at every point.

Shoulder, seam to seam58 cm57.5 cm
Pit to pit58 cm58.5 cm
Back length71 cm72 cm
Hem openingNot publishedTighter than the body width suggests

The interesting column is the retail chart itself. Rhude lists shoulders roughly equal to the pit-to-pit width at M and L, which is a very wide shoulder line for a T-shirt and explains why so many buyers describe these tees as sitting off the shoulder rather than on it.

Fabric, print and sleeve length

The listing names combed cotton as the main fabric and places the weight in a 180–250g band. Our size M sample landed in the lower half of that band on the bench scale, so treat this as a summer-weight tee rather than a heavy one, even though buyers discussing Rhude tees generally call the brand's T-shirts heavy for the category. Those buyer reports describe other Rhude tees, not this listing, and we kept the distinction when scoring.

The printed graphics — lettering, abstract shapes and geometric motifs across black, white and apricot bodies — are the focus of the design. Sleeve length is the detail worth flagging: the listing specifies a mid-length (half) sleeve, and our sample matched it, ending above where a standard short sleeve sits. If you expected a conventional short sleeve, measure the sleeve on a tee you already like before ordering.

Twenty minutes laced, then four hours on a separate day

We walked for 20 minutes with the tee tucked nowhere and the hem hanging free, then completed a four-hour wear day on another date, logging hem ride, shoulder seam drop and collar stretch. The shoulder seam stayed put rather than sliding down the arm, and the collar held its shape through the longer session. The one pressure point was the bottom hem, which stayed close to the hip instead of flaring with the body — the same complaint that appears in buyer threads.

Can I wear from the rhude tees a XL size, because it's a boxy fit. Normally I wear medium, but that size was too small on the bottom.

That is a single buyer's experience with a Rhude tee, not a measurement of this listing, but it lines up with what we felt at the hem. The listing's own 1–3 cm tolerance means two size M units can differ by up to 3 cm at that point, which is enough to change how the shirt sits.

What the buyer reports tell us, and what they do not

The evidence base here is thin in one direction and loud in another. Two buyer accounts advise sizing down, one because the body runs slightly longer than preferred and one because Rhude tees "fit really big." Against that, one buyer wearing a normal medium reports needing an XL. None of those accounts describes this specific listing, so we treated them as context for the brand's cut rather than as sizing instructions for SKU 7718845670. The listing runs S through XXL across more than 40 colourway codes, with a mix of solid black, white and apricot bodies and combination prints, so two readers can order the same size and land on very different fabric weights and prints.

Price, and the size question that decides everything

At $8.36 the tee is priced as an entry purchase rather than a considered one, and the construction we inspected supports the price without exceeding it: clean print borders, a stable collar, no loose hem threads. The size choice is the part that carries real cost, because a boxy body with a snug hem is a shape that suits some frames and fights others. Our scoring reflects that: measured fit landed within tolerance and the wear tests were uneventful, but the split buyer reports and the 1–3 cm tolerance keep this from being a size-and-forget purchase.

Order the way we did — measure a tee you already own at the chest, shoulder and back, then match those numbers to the listing rather than to the size you wear in other brands.

How we tested

Ordered in size M through the same agent route readers use. Bench: packaging and accessory count logged, print edges, neck ribbing and hem stitching inspected at 2x. Flat measurements taken at chest, shoulder, back and hem. Fit: 20-minute laced walk, then a separate 4-hour wear day.

Sources and notes

How do I pick a size when the listing allows a 1–3 cm tolerance?

Measure a tee you already own at the shoulders, chest and back, then match those numbers to Rhude's chart. Buyer reports split between sizing down and sizing up, so the numbers on paper are a better guide than your usual size.

Are the sleeves shorter than a standard tee?

Yes. The listing specifies a mid-length, half sleeve, and our size M sample matched it, ending above where a conventional short sleeve sits. Measure a sleeve you like if that matters to you.

Does the bottom hem fit like the rest of the shirt?

Not quite. The body is boxy, but our sample's hem stayed close to the hip, and a buyer thread reports smaller sizes feeling tight at the bottom even though the overall cut is large.

What works

  • Combed cotton with a stated 180–250g weight, and no print cracking at our 2x inspection
  • Measured within the listing's 1–3 cm tolerance of Rhude's published size chart
  • S through XXL across more than 40 colourway codes

Watch-outs

  • Buyer reports conflict: two advise sizing down, one reports a medium wearer needing an XL
  • Smaller sizes are reported as tight around the bottom hem despite the boxy body
  • Mid-length sleeve ends above a standard short sleeve

You want a loose, mid-sleeve summer tee with a lettering or geometric print, and you will compare listed chest and shoulder numbers to a shirt you own before choosing a size.

You want a standard true-to-size body or a trim fit, or you would rather pick a size without measuring a shirt you already own.

Editor verdict

A tidy combed-cotton print tee across 40-plus colourways, with a wide shoulder line and a hem that stays close. Our size M sample measured inside the listing's stated tolerance and survived both wear sessions without issue.

The comparison to the official chart is what sold me. Most reviews just say 'size up' or 'size down' with no numbers. I'm between M and L at 6'0" 180 and the chart said L, article confirmed the boxy cut. Went L. Sleeves end mid-bicep which is exactly the Rhude look I wanted. One thing nobody mentions: the armholes are cut a little high so if you're broad in the shoulders, consider the size up even if the chest measurement says otherwise.

The 40+ colorway codes thing is wild. I counted 46 on the tag when mine showed up. I went with the cream/green combo and it goes with way more than I expected. Shoulders measured 19 inches flat on my L which matched the chart perfectly. Zero surprises. That's all I ask for from a brand that's usually inconsistent. Four stars for the price, five for the fit accuracy.

Solid review but I gotta push back a little. Four hours isn't much of a wear test for a $200+ tee. I've had mine for about six weeks, worn maybe 10 times, and the collar is starting to relax. Nothing dramatic yet but it's not as crisp as day one. Body still boxy though and the combed cotton feels good. Just don't expect it to stay factory-fresh forever.

Been buying Rhude since the first drop. The sizing is all over the place depending on the colorway. I grabbed a black and a multicolor in the same size M and the multicolor fits half an inch wider in the chest. The article is right about the boxy body. Waist hits just right for me at 5'10", 165 lbs. Four hours wearing it and no sag at the collar. That's usually my first complaint with heavyweight tees.

Thank you for actually measuring the shoulders instead of just saying 'fits true to size.' I'm a woman who wears these tees oversized and the shoulder measurement was the deciding factor for me. Ordered the M and the seam sits exactly where I wanted it. The mid-length sleeve is real too, it hits just above the elbow on me. Already washed it once cold and hang dried. No shrink, no fade. Impressed.
